The fall 2020 kendo term began Sunday, September 20. The schedule is as follows:
Wed 7 – 8 pm beginners’ class
Wed 8:30 pm – 9:45 pm advanced class
Sun 3 – 4 pm beginner’s class
Sun 4:30 – 6 pm advanced class
There are important changes from previous years. As shown in the schedule, there are separate beginner and advanced classes. Also, everyone must abide by new rules for Covid-19, which are listed below.
Registration is closed for beginners for the 2020 fall session. We will be taking new registrations in January, 2021 watch this page for details.
Advanced students are considered anyone who has practiced one full term of kendo, either with Saskatoon Kendo Club or another club. Advanced students must register for the class. There is no limit to the number of people who may register. However, there is a limit of 14 people who can be on the floor for any class, including instructors. We will be instituting a sign up process for each class.
You must arrive dressed, as there will be no locker room/shower access.
No intermingling between classes:
beginners must leave promptly after class, advanced students must not arrive early.
You must wear a mask.
You must maintain 2m distance.
Class size is limited to 12 people, plus 2 instructors.
We must maintain accurate attendance for contact tracing purposes.
